Ukrainian politician made million dollars from monero

Young Ukrainian politician, who has 185k XMR with his assets recently announced, told his own story.

A few days ago, it was revealed that a 19-year-old young Ukrainian politician had a Monero (XMR) investment worth $ 24.5 million in property notices. Young politician, Rostislav Solod, bought the Monero’s he was holding in 2015, when he was just 14 years old.

The XMR’s he reported were essentially the only property owned by the young politician himself. Everything else in his statement, including real estate, cars and trademarks, belongs to his family.

In a statement to CoinDesk about the issue, Solod said that he began to become interested in cryptocurrencies in 2014 when he was in school, but found cryptocurrencies such as Monero more attractive than Bitcoin. Solod stated that he saw Monero as a more suitable cryptocurrency because of its anonymity and the demand in the darknet markets.

Solod, who was elected to Ukraine’s Kramatorsk City Council, said he had accumulated Monero on the exchanges during 2015 and used the money his family had given him for an unrealized business project while making that investment.

” I never liked school, ” Solod said, adding that he devoted a lot of time to studying financial markets and learning about cryptocurrencies.

Solod also said he was considering entering cryptocurrency mining, but so far has not decided for which coin to mine. The young politician added that he also plans to invest some money in the effort project, of which Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak is one of the founders.

185 thousand XMR with a price of $ 0.36
Solod received XMR assets, paying a total of 66 thousand dollars. Compared to today’s $ 140 price, XMR was only $ 0.36 that day.
